My name is Mousumi Roy. I was a working professional and I left the same to look after my kids. Once they started going to school, I felt the need to do something to keep myself busy for few hours, something I could do at home only. Tuitions, telemarketing proved to be quite strenuous. So my friend Sylvia suggested that I should do something creative like Art & other craft activities which she felt would be apt for me. On her insistence I joined art classes and learned sketching and different mediums that went along like oil pastels, water colors etc. Along with this I also learned clay craft, flower making murals etc.

Over a period of time I actually fell in love with my new found skill and I knew that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Art has given me so much. Peace, contentment and the happiness of creating something new. As an artist it gives me immense satisfaction when people appreciate and buy my handmade products. I will be always grateful to my friend Sylvia for guiding me, my art teacher who taught me the nuances of drawing, my family for their unwavering support and all those who encouraged me and supported me in my art journey.
